SERIES DESCRIPTION

Each piece consists of torn paper elements, placed by hand in a sequence of intentional compositions, then digitally layered with a unique output from a custom machine learning model to introduce random interactions. Intimate fragments of familiar typographic forms vibrate untethered from language, expressing emotions where there are no words.

ARTIST BIO

Jason Powers is a NYC based designer and artist making a mess with distorted typography. He studied at Cornish College of the Arts, with his career in tech influencing a systematic approach to his abstract art. He currently lives in Rockaway Beach with his neurodiverse household of wife and two sons.
